I am sure that this goes with everyone out there that can get there hands on free things. As you have probably heard about the free short stack from IHOP and the charity thing that they were doing. We loaded everyone up and thought it would be fun. We got our free short stacks for each of us and then the waitress said (boy she was clever!) "you cant have pancakes without sausage and hash browns"! Boy my family jumped all over that. Not only did we get two sides of hash browns, twelve links of sausage, four sodas and a large chocolate milk, we got the bill to boot. The four sodas and chocolate milk was over 10 bucks. JJJJEEEESSSSHHHHHHHHH!! The total bill with tip was almost $30.00 dollars. Boy did they see us coming or what!! LOL! It was fun regardless. Especially to watch people pour syrup onto a spoon and eat it plain. Not the spoon of course. Makes sense right?/?/?/
As for other matters of the heart, home and life in general, it has been pretty tough. The house has been up for sale a couple of weeks now and there have been two offers. One of the offers has funding to back it up and the other offer is still trying to get funding. We still get people that call and say we are here to look without any prior notification. This makes things very awkward not only for us but for them also. These people usually dont stay very long. With the offer on the table the bank has sssooooo graciously postponed the foreclosure date for 60 days. I am hoping that this is enough time to settle with the bank to allow the sale to go through. We have been packing like crazy and the inside is looking pretty empty.
We get the keys to the new house at 9:00 am this Friday and we do a walk through with the leasing agent. Trent and I will start moving some things over at this time and will probably go most of the day. I still have not seen the inside of the house so I am hoping that it will work. The BIG DAY of moving will be the next morning at 9:00 am. If you feel bored and would like a good workout, come on over and help us load up the truck. Promise to have doughnuts and cold water!!! HINT-HINT lol It shouldnt be too bad. With enough help it should only take a couple of hours to load up the truck. The house is located on Brown Rd. between Ellsworth and Crismon in a subdivision called Saguaro Mountain in case if you cant get a hold of us. Speaking of, now this is funny- Cox turned us off prematurely and in an attempt to restore service (gotta have my Survivor) The service rep. that I got must of been from another planet. First of all he could not spell my last name, could not find the city I live in, and then had the audacity -get this- to hang up on me because my account does not EXIST! What the heck! I have had cox sevices for 15 years. They better know me. Anyway, off the soapbox I am hoping that the move will be an easy one because it is just not fair that myself or anyone else has to go through this. I praise those that have gone before me and braved through it. BLESS YOU!
The kids are still doing good in school and Laurie still struggles with her kids at work. They are a handfull and she comes home exhausted. She is hoping that she will be able to get a different class next year. Trent is still looking for a job and is not having much success. I am sure that there is alot of people out there that would love a job if they could just get there hands on one.
Just in closing, (sounds like a speech) I want to thank my neighbors for the kindness and friendship over the last four years. My neighbors have been great!! You guys will be greatly missed!! Best of wishes and dreams to all of you. THANK YOU!!
It might be awhile before I can post again, so everyone have a good week and have the wind at your back and take time to smell the flowers. C'YA.
