Getting ready for the big move

To bring everyone to date on what has been happening, I will try to be short and try not to ramble on. On Thursday we put the house up for sale. It is a short sale because the property values have dropped so low that we would never sell it if we were not competitive on the price. The price that we are asking is 199,900. OOUCH~!~~~~~! this is 138,000 LESS than what we bought it for. So far we have had four people come through and look at it. One gentleman has been back twice. I hope that the bank will be speedy and settle on a deal before the foreclosure date of March 2nd.

We have found a new place to rent and it is one that we think will be nice. It is off Brown Rd. between Ellsworth and Crismon. It keeps the kids going to the same schools. It has been really hard to find ourselves looking at rental homes. There are so many that are so beat up that it was really hard to believe. The new place is five bedroom and three baths. I physically have not been inside the home but through the windows it looks nice.

So this past week we have been packing like crazy. I think we are about 45 percent packed up right now and we still have alot to go it seems. When I was moving one of the sections of the older entertainment center, it fell of the dolly and came crashing down. It broke the glass out and popped off the top and scratched the front of it really good. I was trying to sell this one but it doesnt look like I will be able to until I get it fixed. That just added a little hurt to the ole' pride.

Work is still going goood. Because off the NBA playoffs, I have been working days in the office. I will be going back to nights this week after the games. At work they have asked that I further my knowledge with LEED construction for new buildings. This is a program that helps reduce the impact to the enviroment when construction takes place. It is a program that seems to be the way that everyone is going in construction practice. Having this on my resume will help me better myself. I still dont know where my next assignment is but I am still at the Convention center at least until May.

This being Presidents day, hope everyone has a good day and if you are lucky enough to have the day off, enjoy. As for me I have to work today. Hope every one has a good week and we will try and do the same. Thanks for all the support from neighbors and friends. Chow!!

I hate that you guys have to move. I love having you for neighbors, but I do hope that it does sell quickly so that you have one less stressor on your plate. Please let me know how I can help!
